I'm buying another one because you can't beat the product for the price. If it does, the rubber bottom can be popped off and the screws removed to experiment with replacing the cable, if you really want to. It doesn't look like that will be a problem anytime soon, though. It's not very loud but it worked well enough as long as I wasn't driving past traffic. But halfway through Tuesday it seems the battery ran out and it stopped working. I have tried plugging it in to my car charger to my home charger and even to my computer USB port and it does not seem to be charging.

It seems I got a whole 2 days out of this product. ??These sound OK when the music is playing BUT when they are just sitting there waiting for a command to the echo there is a constant humming. I need them to be on all the time but I don't know if I can stand this humming for long. I guess you get what you pay for. This makes it a little tricky to grab with my fat fingers, and the only way my fingers can grab it involves stressing the cable. I am worried that this will eventually lead to the failure of the cable. I am impressed by how much sound this unit produces.I keep my ipod plugged in it and carry it from room to room when cleaning. I also have one in my car to listen to podcasts that for some reason stopped working over my car speakers once Apple had their last update. One podcast works via bluetooth in the car and one podcast doesn’t so for this reason I bought these speakers. Easy to use, holds a charge a LONG time. I love the fact that the cord is retractable so you don’t lose it. Fits in the cup holder too. When I got it, it literally took about 15 attempts to get the charging plug to plug in as it didn't even look like it was built for this speaker. The speaker wire that pulls out from the speaker itself is literally one of the dumbest ideas I've ever seen and it was able to produce sound for a whole 20 seconds before it stopped working on all of my devices. After an hour I threw it in the trash in disgust. In case you're wondering why I didn't return it, it was because I don't like ordering something, it being wrong or faulty and then I have a task to do with its return. Of course if they offered me 10 new speakers to replace this one I would have refused. Personally I'd recommend anybody but this company for your travel speaker needs!Does not work with bluetooth, but I needed a wired speaker anyways for my daughters MP3 player. The sound quality isn't the greatest, but for the price you can't be picky.

Most of those built-in speakers are woefully inadequate for anything but listening while you’re within a couple of feet of your device. There are a plethora of external speakers available to boost the audio of your portable devices. There are cheap little mono speakers that are hardly better than the built-in speakers to expensive, hi-fidelity speaker systems. There are wired, USB, and Bluetooth speakers. G-PROJECT contacted The Gadgeteer to see if we wanted to review their mono, Bluetooth speaker, the G-GO. I was happy to be selected to give the G-GO speaker a try. It’s water-resistant, so it was designed for use “in kitchen, bathroom, beach, pool, patio and other environments with potential exposure to water.” It’s not submersible, nor is it designed for prolonged or high-pressure exposure to water, but it is safe from splashing on all sides. The speakers don’t have a grill to protect them, but there are two clear plastic bars that run along the front of them. The G-GO is available in blue, black, or white. I received the blue. The body of the speaker is a colored plastic, blue in this case. The dark gray areas have a rubberized coating. The buttons are all sealed with a rubbery coating for water resistance. The USB port can be used to charge your mobile device. You cannot sync with this USB port. I’m not sure how the water resistance is impacted when this is open to connect the power line or a non-Bluetooth device. I would imagine that water resistance on the back would be negatively impacted with this door open. The batteries allow you to carry the G-GO along with you when you go outdoors.

I would imagine that operating on batteries (and with a Bluetooth connection) would give you the greatest water resistance. You should get about 8 hours of playback on a set of batteries, depending on the volume level and with the audio content. I simply turned on the speaker, and it entered pairing mode and was quickly found by my MBP. I opened up the Bluetooth controls on my MBP, and selected the G-GO from the list of detected devices. The G-GO beeped to indicate pairing, but the blue LED on the front didn’t stop blinking until I had selected the G-GO speakers as my audio output device. Once paired, the G-GO connected up automatically with my MBP each time I powered the speaker back on. Without a subwoofer, there wasn’t a lot of bottom end, and the bass was lacking. However, the sound was better and much louder than my MBP could produce. When I maxed out the volume, the sound did distort. Turning it down a bit took care of the distortion, though. The G-GO sounded good with all types of music. I tried the EQ button on the side, and I found that the sound did improve, depending on the selection. I didn’t pay attention to the preset, just pressed the button until I thought it sounded good. These buttons will not control devices connected via the audio-in connector. The location was shielded, but not completely protected from the rain. I left it out there for about 10 minutes. When I brought it in, there were water drops over the body of the G-GO speaker. I put a set of batteries in, and the speaker connected to my computer and played songs with no problems. It took a couple of seconds to discover the speaker and a couple more to pair. Playback controls worked with the iPad just as they had worked with my MBP. I had an email come in while I was listening to music with the speaker, and I heard the notification sound. When a call came in, the sound from the G-GO was muted, then my phone rang.

I answered the call from my phone, as the speaker has no speakerphone capabilities. When I hung up the call, the song continued on the speaker. While running on battery power, I connected the speaker to my computer via Bluetooth and carried it around my house. I have a small, one-story house, but I have incredibly thick plaster, lathe, and metal mesh walls. I found that I experienced cutouts of the sound in every room of the house, other than the living room where my computer was. It’s a great solution for adding sound in rooms where you might hesitate to put other speakers because of possible exposure to water. It would be great to take outside while you’re gardening or washing the car or to use near the pool. The sound is good, although lacking in the bass range. The volume is much louder than the built-in speakers of any of my devices. And if you are using it with your phone, at least an iPhone, you won’t have to worry about missed calls. Sounds like a good deal to me! Even though we may receive compensation, we always give our honest opinions about our experiences with each product. I’ve had my g-Go speaker for several months and I have never regretted purchasing it. I get the an average of 8 hours of play via my rechargeable NiCads. It will last much longer if I pause the music, but still leave it on and connected to the device, like if I was on a long phone call while the speaker was connected to my Android Phone. I also connect the speaker to multiple devices and it will always connect to the last device. Holding the bluetooth button to reconnect is easy, but you will have to select the G-Go on the device you are tying to reconnect. However, the controls don’t work as well on my android tablet, as they do on my Android Phone and Ipod. And I have a shower stall so it definitely gets wet. It is also very sturdy and can take most drops.

Unfortunately today I had an unfortunate incident where the speaker not only dropped on my cement patio, but tumble hard several times. Any other device would have been destroyed. The speaker held up well, but now has some distortion. The reason I found this review was because I am looking to replace it. It’s really a fantastic device. I had purchased one yesterday and plugged it in today. It did not turn on right away like I had expected, so I thought I had to charge it longer. You can power it using the supplied power adapter, or you can insert normal AA batteries. I’ve tried all ports, usb, bluetooth, and aux cable. Is there something I can do to fix it. I want to know if there is a simple solution to fixing this before I go send it back for my money. It’s inside, and ports out the back, that’s what the rear holes are for. It’s not large, but it’s better than just the front speaker. I liked the design, and the sound (reasonable for the size) and bluetooth, but it sounds like they break a lot. lite, see ITU G.992.2. It was implemented by collaborative efforts of more than 80 people in 12 different academic and industrial research centers in Europe. The gLite services were adopted by more than 250 computing centres, and used by more than 15000 researchers in Europe and around the world. The first is simpler, and relies on the grid-mapfile mechanism. This can be any machine where users have a personal account and where their user certificate is installed.A CE includes a Grid Gate (GG), which acts as a generic interface to the cluster; a Local Resource Management System (LRMS) (sometimes called batch system), and the cluster itself, a collection of Worker Nodes (WNs), the nodes where the jobs are run.Sites can choose what to install, and some of them provide both types. The GG is responsible for accepting jobs and dispatching them for execution on the WNs via the LRMS.The Storage Element may control simple disk servers, large disk arrays or tape-based Mass Storage Systems (MSS).Simply speaking, GSIFTP (a GSI-secure FTP) is the protocol for whole-file transfers, while local and remote file access is performed using RFIO or gsidcap. However, different SEs may support different versions of the SRM protocol and the capabilities can vary. The Disk Pool Manager (DPM) is used for fairly small SEs with disk-based storage only, while CASTOR is designed to manage large-scale MSS, with front-end disks and back-end tape storage. The published information is also used for monitoring and accounting purposes. It then chooses the CE with the highest rank, a quantity derived from the CE status information which expresses the goodness of a CE (typically a function of the numbers of running and queued jobs). In this way, the Resource Broker can talk to file catalogs other than LFC (provided that they have a DLI interface).By using this site, you agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. g force compressor manual

In the G-Force this is done automatically. Sometimes it's possible to hear clicking sounds when you first pluck a string, which might be the attack failing to react fast enough, thus allowing uncompressed sound to slip through. The Release parameter adjusts how fast the gain reduction stops working. If you hear pumping effects from a compressor this may be cured with the release parameter. This is is done automatically in the G-Force compressor and is called auto-makeup gain in the manual. If you bypass the Compressor block you'll notice that the compressed signal appears to be much stronger than the dry signal. This level increase can make you believe the sound has changed more than is actually the case, but by reducing the compressor level a bit you'll find that the sound difference is more subtle. The manual will take you step by step through all of the G-Force functions. If you want to read about a specific function, please refer to the Table. The Enter the Tempo key. Note: this key will blink when the G-Force needs may affect the current preset.External control input can use momentary, alternating and continuous type pedals. The G-Force power supply is capable of operating at any line voltage from 100-240 Volts, 50-60Hz. The Input level of the G-Force automatically optimizes the signal to noise ratio via a small relay in the input section. You will see a prompt on the display and may hear a small click when the input gain range is. It suddenly comes to my mind that we need a Compressor in front of the Delay and Reverb. Let’s try to move the Delay and. When you are using Expression pedals, you should select “Alternating”. The G-Force is capable of using a lot of the existing boards on the market for standard program change. Here is what you do to When you connect your expression pedal to the “External set your board up with the G-Force: control”. To get maximum quality from the 24 bit AD converter, the input meter should show approximately -6 to -3 dB.

If the input level is weak the output level is increased, while if the input level is strong the output level is decreased. Only decreasing strong signals without increasing the weak ones it called limiting. This feature is very popular when the goal is to be as intrusive on the listener as possible. Unfortunately too much compression also makes the sound dull and lifeless, and the listener will soon experience listening fatigue. This can be seen on level meters able to display peak values. Some LED meters let you view either peak or average levels, while analog meters can only manage average levels due to their physical limits. The behavior of the Compressor is defined by the Ratio and Threshold parameters, and is indicated by the Response Curve. The Ratio's lowest value (1:1) will not do anything to the signal, while its highest value (Infinity:1) sets an absolute top limit on the signal level.

One by one, long-neglected Mellotrons were finding themselves being dragged out of their mothballs, dusted down and transformed into sample libraries — either for private use or commercial sale. And why? Because the Mellotron always was, and still is, a fabulous-sounding instrument. Everyone knew it all along, but it took a leap in technology to make its glorious sounds available to, and affordable by, anyone who wanted them. This delightfully simple, no-nonsense recreation continues to be astoundingly popular, having found its way into countless musicians' sound arsenals. Eight years were to pass until the next major virtual Mellotron offering (IK Multimedia's SampleTron, reviewed in the August 2008 edition of SOS) — a length of time that's somewhat surprising, considering how enthusiastically the world has once more taken Mellotrons to its bosom. In timely fashion, the long-awaited 'Pro' version of M-Tron was finally announced earlier this year at the NAMM show, bringing a new synth engine, lots of extra features, and a significantly expanded core library. Its synth engine is based around the same one used in VSM, albeit with a number of differences that we'll examine in due course. For a full?blown description of VSM's synth engine, I recommend reading the VSM review that can be found in the May 2008 issue of Sound On Sound. M-Tron uses the same dual-layer structure as VSM, offering two independent sample players, each with its own subtractive synthesis controls. Sounds can be loaded into either Layer A, Layer B, or both. Each Layer features a syncable LFO (for pitch only), a choice of low?pass, high-pass or band-pass filter with cutoff frequency and resonance, ADSR filter envelope, ADSR amplifier envelope, aftertouch response (to filter) and velocity response to filter and amplifier. The signal chain ends with a pair of global effects that process the sum of both Layers.

The two Layers can be edited individually or simultaneously, and the key-range of each Layer can be adjusted to enable 'split' or 'dual' keyboard configurations. Each Layer also has individual level, pan and detune controls, together with a Layer 'solo' function to enable the user to isolate either Layer while editing. The red highlighting around the knobs, buttons and sliders indicates that the controls are focused on Layer A. Mellotron aficionados will be familiar with the 'half-speed technique, which entails recording the instrument with the tape recorder running at double speed. When played back at normal speed, the Mellotron's pitch is an octave lower, effectively increasing its lower range and imparting a pleasingly dark, threatening tone. M-Tron Pro's half-speed button replicates this effect by dropping the sample playback speed by an octave. This can be applied to each Layer independently, and produces quite epic results using dual-layered sounds, with the second layer playing at normal speed. While this may not seem especially beneficial when applied to sustaining sounds such as strings or choir, its usefulness becomes immediately apparent when applied to 'one?shot', non?sustaining sounds such as piano and guitar. M-Tron's library of rhythm phrases, Optigan phrases and sound effects also provide plenty of scope for reverse playback, with suitably bizarre and surreal results. This is used to adjust the sample start point, which has several very useful applications. Firstly, it addresses one debatable criticism of the original M-Tron, which was the way in which the beginnings of certain sounds seemed too 'clean', exhibiting little or none of the distinctive key-on 'spit' characteristic of tapes whose start points have been poorly aligned on the tape frame. While arguably undesirable, this 'spit' imparts a powerful, aggressive edge that contributes greatly to the Mellotron's gothic personality.

Norfolk, Virginia 23502. It was also very much a luxury reserved for musicians of sufficient financial standing. Fashions changed, however; the 1970s gave birth to string synthesizers, polysynths, punk and disco, as well as a generally dismissive attitude to all things musically 'intellectual'. The Mellotron — along with its notorious unreliability and all its bombastic associations — fell from favour. However, ardent supporters were still to be found championing the cause, and in the 1990s, prominent artists such as Crowded House, Lenny Kravitz, REM and Radiohead were to spearhead a Mellotron revival. The subsequent resurgence of interest in the instrument, along with the proliferation of affordable samplers, had an inevitable result.

Adjusting the Att-St knob on M-Tron Pro, however, allows the user to 'misalign' the tapes by anything up to seconds. Choirs can be made to bark, and strings to spit — you'll be wanting to keep some dog biscuits and a spittoon nearby. The Att-At knob allows you to simulate this to great effect. Simply load the same sound into both Layers, and advance the start point of one Layer by the smallest amount — just one or two increments will do the trick. Pan the two Layers hard left and right, and there you have it — a blissfully lush Mellotronic panorama. Detuning one Layer by a few cents adds even more fullness to the sound, without any unwelcome phasing effects. A subtle variation on this theme is to reverse one Layer (assuming you're using a sustained sound such as strings) and use the Att-St knob to trim any 'dead air' off the end of the reversed Layer, so that it produces sound immediately when keys are played. Reversed one-shot sounds that include some 'dead air' at their ends also benefit from offsetting the start point, enabling you to fine-tune their lengths more predictably. My only criticism here is that the offset range could do with being rather larger than seconds, particularly when applied to reversed one-shot sounds. Being able to play just the first second or so of a sample in reverse would be especially useful. Clicking on the MIDI CC button darkens the control panel, displaying red, green or grey squares around each controllable parameter. Red squares apply to Layer A, green to Layer B and grey to Global parameters. To assign a MIDI controller, click the appropriate coloured square, move the desired knob, fader or button on your MIDI controller, and the assignment is done. Assigned parameters display the chosen MIDI controller number in white. To un-assign any parameter, simply point to its square and Ctrl-click. A single MIDI controller can be assigned to multiple destinations, so dramatic changes can be effected using just one knob or fader.

It's not possible to set the operational range of each controller, which is a shame. Nor can you invert the response to incoming control messages, so crossfading between Layer A and Layer B, for example, can only be done using two independent controller curves, one for each Layer's level. The red squares denote Layer A controls, the green squares Layer B controls, and the grey squares Global parameters. The Ensemble effect is identical to that found on VSM, modelled on the bucket brigade-type multi-voice chorus typical of vintage string ensembles. It can be downloaded from. A Sync button locks delay times to your host DAW's tempo. When running unsync'ed, delay times are shown in milliseconds if you hover the mouse over the control, and when sync'ed the times are displayed as note values. The 'faux stereo' Width button found on VSM is not included on M-tron Pro, as dramatic stereo effects can be produced using the techniques described earlier. However, those of us unable to stretch to the heady cost of the real thing may be confused as to which of the two current virtual 'Tron frontrunners — M-Tron Pro and SampleTron — is right for them. The choice could arguably be determined by whether you are an experimentalist or a traditionalist. If you are of the former persuasion, you may be drawn to certain SampleTron features that enable you to defy 'Mellotron conventions' in various ways, such as time-stretch (which gets more mileage out of the rhythm and phrase-based material) and the larger complement of effects. Traditionalists, on the other hand, will be primarily concerned with recreating 'essential' Mellotron sounds to a high degree of authenticity. M-Tron Pro caters for both schools of thought, while at the same time retaining a faithfulness to the original instrument at its heart.

There are enough tools to subvert the sound in imaginative ways when required, as well as its own unique features, such as reverse playback and adjustable sample start point, and a highly accessible front end. With its improved functionality, dual synth sections, expanded library and a continuing emphasis on authenticity, M-Tron Pro could well become as ubiquitous as the original M-Tron. The new material includes 45 previously unreleased Tape Banks, plus 40 looped varieties and 19 remastered ones. Amongst the new sounds are Hofner bass, solo trumpet, a selection of Optigan rhythms, custom choirs, custom sound effects, Danelectro and Gibson guitars, additional saxophones, and a number of new string and orchestral sounds. The Tape Banks are organised into instrument categories, so finding specific sounds is as straightforward as possible. In addition to loading the basic Tape Banks into Layers, M-Tron Pro also provides a large library of 886 Patch Presets, also organised by instrument category and guest programmer (whose number includes Rick Wakeman), showcasing many creative applications of its synth section and effects. Of course, any creations of your own can be saved into a dedicated User folder, within which you can create subfolders to help organise your own patches. This was performed at Abbey Road Studios under the expert care of resident mastering engineer Steve Rooke. The Tape Banks were re-recorded through a vintage EMI TG12410 analogue mixing desk, using a Prism Maselec Equaliser and an EMI compressor. While always mindful not to destroy the vital character of the sounds, they took the opportunity to retune and repair the occasional suspect note. G-Force are laudably concerned with authenticity, and while the remainder of the library (where appropriate) retains the Mellotron's natural eight?second playback limit, the remastered sounds are alternatively presented as looped versions.

This, the manual wryly states, along with stern warnings against inappropriate use and bad taste, is to appease 'non-purists' who requested the feature. Owners of the original M-Tron plug-in should note that M-Tron Pro is a totally new program, and not an upgrade — so you'll need to keep the original library and the plug-in installed alongside this new version if you'll be wanting to run older projects that used M-Tron. Pros Excellent expanded library includes previously unreleased rarities. Dual-layer structure with subtractive synthesis and effects. Extremely easy to use. Cons No chromatic detuning of Layers. g net track manual

In order measurements to be more precise you can wait a little until GPS fix is lost at the beginning of the tunnel and the entering point is auto set. In this case keep the app in foreground in order to make calls. On these phones the option to keep automatically app in foreground does not work so you have to bring the app to foreground manually if it was in background. In this case you will get results similar to apps that use dedicated servers for data throughput test. Here is a screenshot showing similar results when compared with such apps. In order this feature to be available you must have mobile network data connection on. Turn your WiFi off in order to prevent location determination based on WiFi networks. In kml file there is information about the cell location and accuracy. Then the Height will show 0 on ground level. Barometer is used does not need to be calibrated in this case. The folder must exist, otherwise the default folder is used.Cellfile is required for this feature. When it is on only unknown cells (that are missing in cellfile) will be written in the text and kml log files. Cellfile is required for this feature. When it is on only known cells (that are in cellfile) will be written in the text and kml log files. This feature is useful for logging only data for specific cell. The offset is added to original value and can be positive or negative. Generally for 4G you can set (-20) and for 3G (-10). This will change threshold settings of the legend for different technologies. The offset is added to original value and can be positive or negative. You can use this to add ponts when there is no GPS signal. Alternatively you can use auto-indoor mode. When calibration is done this will be unchecked automatically. When calibration is done this will be unchecked automatically. Usually is 1, but for some devices should be set to 10. In log also timesample will be up to milliseconds.

It allows monitoring and logging of mobile network parameters without using specialized equipment. It’s a tool and it’s a toy. It can be used by professionals to get better insight on the network or by radio enthusiasts to learn more about wireless networks. It can be used even if you want just to make easy representation of your traveled route. The information displayed on each tab is It also shows history log of the serving cells. This value is not reported by most phones. It is measured on 4G only. The table also shows cell serving time which is useful for spotting frequent cell reselection and lack of dominant cells. When on 2G the neighbors are shown as LAC and CELLID.Check phone measurement capabilities for more information. In the first row there is information about current technology, cell layer, MCC-MNC-LAC-RNC-CELLID of the current serving cell, level and quality measurements. On the second row there is information about the distance to serving cell and bearing to it. This information is available only if cellfile with networks cell information is loaded. The map shows the surrounding area view and thematic map of selected measurement (LEVEL, QUAL, CELL, DL bitrate, UL bitrate, SPEED).There are several group of settings, which are related to different app features: When it is on the list of cells from cellfile will be loaded at the program start. Database cell load is way faster. Here is demo video of cell database usage. When GPS fix is lost the measurements are collected in a buffer and when the GPS fix is back again the missing measurements are filled on a straight line connecting the point of loss and regaining GPS fix.If INDOOR mode is selected AUTO INDOOR mode is not activated. When log is active both current values are visible on the upper right corner of MAP tab next to GPS writing. When one of the conditions is satisfied the GPS fix is considered not valid and values are colored in blue.

When option to follow route is on then colored leading points will be shown ahead on the route showing the direction you have to move. For details how to prepare floorplan see Floorplan section. You can load normal floorplan or instant floorplan. Normal floorplans positions on exact location while instant floorplans positions on coordinates 0,0 but is faster to prepare. The image is shown at place with coordinates (0,0). Here is a video demonstration of instant floorplan load If you put 360, the cell will be shown as circle. Then the circle radius will be value-360. For 3G you can skip it if “LAC-CELLID” is unique Use 1 for lower layer and 4 for higher layer. Use semicolon “;” for new row. It is a semicolon (;) delimited text file. The current supported format is clf 3.3.0. CLF format is not recommended. It is better to use tab delimited text file cause it contains more information. Field is used for query. CID Cell ID 5 decimal digits with leading zeros for GSM, CDMA and UMTS. For LTE the ECI (E-UTRAN Cell ID) is used in decimal. Field is used for query. LAC Location Area Code decimal 5 digits with leading zeros. TAC for LTE, but is not used for query, but for 2G and 3G. RNC Not really used. Use 0 or -1 if unkown LAT Latitude coordinate in decimal WGS 84. Use point as decimal delimiter. LON Longitude coordinate in decimal WGS 84. Use point as decimal delimiter. POS-RAT Accuracy of the site coordinates. Use -1 for the exact position. DESC Cell description. Only integer values are used. -1: unknown 0-359: azimuth in degrees 360: omni directional HEIGHT Antenna height above ground level of the cell in metres. -1: unknown 0-999: use point as decimal delimiter BW Beamwidth of the antenna. -1: unknown 0-360: beamwidth in degrees. Only integer values are used. When this is on loading will be faster Using normal way you need image and index text file where you specify the location of image corners. Index file index.

When the phone receives this code it replies with SMS with its current measurements. One phone is server and others are clients. Check if there is not some battery optimisation preventing the app to run in the background. The barometer sensor has better height accuracy than GPS. Using barometer you can do more accurate height measurement. All data related values will be written in log for this SIM You can select phrases on your own language. This has to be on if your phone does not support new API17 functions. If your phone supports API17 then your screen can be off while logging. The measurements kml files that are created can be selected in Settings. A record is put in log on change of position with specified distance interval, change of cellid or each specified time interval if there is no change of position or celld. Time and distance intervals can be set in Settings. When the logging is activated the app will lock your GPS and screen on and the screen will remain lit during the logging. In order not to interrupt logging you have to not switch the device screen off. The phone could be locked, but the screen should be on. The filemarks are visible in text logfile and filemarkers.kml file. During this sequence the number of successful, blocked and dopped calls are dispalyed in INFO tab. For phones that don’t support automatic call hangup (like Google phones with security update from 05.05.2018) when it is time to end a call a message is showed to end call manually. It sends predefined number of SMS and tracks its success. The exported file is in folder \cellfile Then the map view won’t be updated This allows zooming and moving the map view. The exported file is in ht e app folder If cells are already loaded it will reload them from cellfile. Do this when cell information is changed and database needs to be updated. Also tab delimited text file with two column headers “Longitude” and “Latitude” can be used. This will help when you want to follow predefined route.

The map performance can be improved by taking the following actions to reduce the number of objects without losing the app functionality. It depends on the phone but generally the Google map cannot handle well more than 5000 objects. This is the max number of cells that will be visualized from all cells that are loaded in memory. This way you make sure that closest sites will be visualized. If the value is default (1) then every location change bigger than 15m is drawn as log point. If you put value N bigger than 1, then every N-th log point is drawn on the map which results in less log points and improved map performance. Note that the number of samples in text and kml log is not affected and stays the same. If the value is default (1) then every route point is drawn. If you put value N bigger than 1, then every N-th log point is drawn on the map which results in less log points and improves the map performance. It’s a tool and it’s a toy. It can be used by professionals to get better insight on the network or by radio enthusiasts to learn more about wireless networks. You can start voice, data or SMS sequences to monitor the network for blocked and dropped calls and to measure upload and download bitrates and SMS success rate. txt describing edge locations also should be present in the folder The image format must be jpg or png. This means to tell the app where to put your images on the map. Create file index.txt with rows for each image and following content (tab delimited) Also do not forget that the format is tab delimited. You have to put tabs (not spaces) between the values. The floorplans will be shown on map and for each floorplan a kml file will be created to be used with Google Earth. Notice that you have to change the image location tag if you copy kml file and intend to use it on your computer. In dual SIM mode the cellfile should have both operators celldata in it in order to see both serving cell and neighbor cell lines. Your phone has to report both SIM cards. You can check if your phone reports both SIM info by going to INFO tab and scroll to the bottom of it. That means both SIM are reported. This will help if your level and cell values are correct, but are not updated. 3. If nothing of above helps you have to update your phone software or wait for such update if it is not available at the moment. If your phone does not report some measurements the only thing you can do is to search for software update from device manufacturer. There is no possibility a change in app to make your phone to report properly. Database is preloaded with cells from cellfile. In database options set quite big range like 200km if you will travel 100km to make sure you will read from database all needed cells at once. There should not be a need to reload cells from database during measurement. If you are travelling rural areas you can set it higher like 30km cause there are not so many sites in rural areas and sometimes serving cell can be far away. This depends on the phone capabilities (CPU, RAM). It depends on the phone but generally the Google map cannot handle well more than 5000 objects.

Also here it is possible to see loss of network coverage - rows with level values equal to NEI Tab NEI tab shows information about neighbor cells measurements. It consists of two tables: - Serving cell table - shows information about current serving cell id and level. When on 2G the neighbors are shown as LAC and CELLID.
